terms and conditions

Sulis Learning is the trading name of Sulis Learning Ltd (which for the remainder of these Terms and Conditions will be referred to as SL), a company registered in England and Wales (Company no: 12514829). Our registered office address is Selwood, Birchill Lane, Feltham, Frome, Somerset, BA11 5ND. We can be contacted by email at info@sulislearning.co.uk.

 

 

Please read carefully the Terms and Conditions (for the remainder of this documents to be referred to as T & C’s) set out below and make sure you understand them before purchasing a SL online course or using the service. 

 

The T & C’s constitute an agreement between SL and you, the user of SL. 

 

Our contract with you 

 

After purchasing an online course you will receive two emails from us. One will be a receipt and confirmation of your order has been completed. The second will provide the login details. The first email is when the contract between SL and yourself begins. 

 

SL accepts UK and international purchases.

 

Assessing or using the service 

 

The user agrees to be bound by SL’s T & C’s. If you disagree with any of these you should stop using the service. 

 

SL reserves the right to review our T & C’s at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the service will constitute an acceptance of these new T & C’s. If you do not abide with any T & C’s, SL may remove your access to our service and courses. 

 

Purchasing a course 

 

If the user is under 18, they will need parental consent to purchase our courses. When a parent/guardian/carer purchase a course(s), they are agreeing to the T & C’s on behalf of the user of the course. The online course is for the sole use of the user for whom the course was purchased for; it is not transferable to a third party. SL reserves the right to alter which courses are available for sale and to discontinue any courses at any time. Prices are listed in British pounds (sterling). Prices include VAT where applicable. Prices are liable to change at any time. SL will take all reasonable care to safeguard your payment details. 

 

Paying a deposit

 

If you choose to pay a deposit, the balance will be due within 28 days. You will initially have access to part of the course. This will be detailed on the course information page on our website. If you do not pay the balance within the 28 days following the initial payment, we will first contact you by email to ask if payment could be made.

 

If we do not receive payment within 48 hours of our email, we reserve the right to close your account. You would then no longer have access to any of the course material. The deposit is non refundable after 14 days.

 

Payment via instalments

When the purchaser selects to purchase a course via the instalment option, payment are taken from the provided card automatically. The first payment occurs at the time of the initial purchase. The remaining instalments are deducted automatically from the provided payment card on a monthly basis. The purchaser is notified that the payment is occurring each month. Once 14 days have passed, the purchaser is legally obligated to complete the remaining instalments.

 

The Return’s Policy when purchasing a course with the instalment option

Purchasers who select to pay via instalments have the same right to a full refund within 14 days of the purchase. To request a refund, please email info@sulislesarning.co.uk with the subject heading: Refund Request.  

 

Length of time user has access to the online course 

 

The user will have access to the course material for a designated amount of time which will be stated on the product page at the time of purchase and will be confirmed in the receipt email which is sent to confirm the purchase. The user’s access to the material will be limited to this time frame (eg 12 or 24 months). The user may be able to purchase an additional amount of time to access the course, however this cannot be guaranteed. The additional access would be time limited and the cost of the access would be determined by SL. 

 

On initial purchase of the course, you will have access to part of the course (this is detailed on the course information page on our website) for 28 days. After 28 days you will have access to the remainder of the course.

 

You will: 

 

not copy, transfer, use, sell, dispose of, licence or sub licence the SL online courses, in whole or in part, in any way, including on any media. 

 

Not change, modify, amend, develop, commercially exploit or make SL online courses available to any third parties. 

 

Not reverse engineer, decompile or make any derivatives of the SL online courses or website. 

 

Not insert the SL website or online courses as a ‘frame’ or ‘Iframe’ in another application. 

 

Our liability 

 

SL will: 

 

make every effort to ensure that the online courses are correct and error free. 

 

SL cannot guarantee this and, once notified of any issues, will do its’ utmost to correct any errors. SL’s online courses are sold ‘as’ is and ‘as available’.

 

SL cannot guarantee the suitability of the material to meet the individual user’s needs.

 

SL will make every effort to keep our website and courses free from bugs and viruses. 

 

SL cannot guarantee that our online courses are free from viruses and bugs which may affect the user’s electronic devices. We are not liable for any issues regarding the website and the online courses (this does not affect your Statutory Rights). SL is not liable for interruptions or delay in the user’s access to the website and the online courses. 

 

SL is not liable for Acts of God or third party interference (eg hacking, viruses etc) 

 

SL will make every effort to securely store your data but will we not be liable for any breach by third parties. Except for what is listed in the T & C’s; 

 

SL will not be liable. If we are found to be liable, our liability will limited to the price the purchaser paid for the online course. 

 

Hyperlinks 

 

SL courses will sometimes guide the user to third party sites via hyperlinks for educational material. 

SL cannot guarantee the accuracy of these third party sites and is therefore not liable for the accuracy of these sites or any viruses or bugs which may affect the user’s electronic device. 

 

When user access third party site through hyperlinks supplied on SL courses, SL is not liable for any damages or losses that they may suffer as a result. 

 

 

Refunds 

 

The user has within 14 days of their receipt email to request a refund. To do this, please email info@sulislearning.co.uk with the subject heading, ‘Refund request’. It may take up to 30 days to refund the money to your account, although it would generally be sooner than 30 days. 

 

Communication between you and SL

Intellectual Property Rights 

 

The website and the online course material are owned, and are the exclusive property, of Sulis Learning Ltd. These works are protected by copyright laws and treaties in the UK and other countries. Also such rights are reserved. Any copying of course materials is strictly prohibited without prior permission of Sulis Learning Ltd. Any use of the materials for commercial purposes also strictly prohibited without prior of permission of Sulis Learning Ltd. 

 

Cancellation and termination 

 

We may terminate or suspend your account, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever including, without limitation, if you breach or we suspect you have breached the T & C’s. If you wish to terminate the account, you may simply discontinue using the service. 

 

Governing law 

 

This Agreement, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter, will be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. The parties irrevocably agree that the Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of, or in connection with, this Agreement or its subject matter.
