Such as: Archimedes the philosopher was killed. For amidst the uproar of the captured city, a Roman soldier entered a certain house in order to take some gold. There he caught sight of a man whom he didn’t know. The soldier asked him who he was. He said nothing. Therefore, the Roman ordered him to reply immediately. But Archimedes was so intent on his diagrams that he did not hear the words of the soldiers. So, the Roman was so angry that he killed the Greek without delay. However, the general of the Roman army, by the name of Marcellus, because he took the death of the philosopher gravely, ordered the soldier to be punished severely.
