Cleopatra was the daughter of the king of Egypt. After the death of her father Cleopatra was queen. But she didn’t reign for very long: for soon her brother drove her from Egypt. Cleopatra, after she had lived for a few years in Syria, prepared a big army. She wanted to attack her brother. Then Julius Caesar came to Syria with many Roman legions. Cleopatra, as soon as she caught sight of the Roman general, begged him: ‘help me!’. She easily persuaded him, because she was very beautiful.
